Rocket Rambler Longboard Deck Description
The Rocket Rambler offers an easy and affordable entry into LDP (long distance pumping/pushing). It is designed to run standard 50° trucks between 150mm and 180mm and wheels up to 90mm. The Rocket Rambler has a low standing platform which makes it easy to push and thanks to a wedged front and a dewedged back it pumps amazingly. Its ergonomic 3D concave locks your feet when needed but stays comfortable for hours. We even added a little tail to help you pop up the board at the end of your ride.
Weight is an important factor when it comes to riding longer distances. That’s why Rocket developed a new ultralight hollow core construction with a powerful flex. For more versatility it comes in two versions: The flex II version has exactly the rebound you need for strong pumps and suits riders up to 90 kg. The stiffer versionin flex I is made for riders up to 110 kg or for the downhill guys.
In contrast to an LDP platform, the Rocket Rambler can be assembled with standard components that are available in every skate shop and still provides a similar riding experience.
Bonus — Tips:
With wedge risers you can wedge/dewedge the front and back even further and simultaneously lower the platform. Please check for wheelbites if you do so.
We recommend Orangatang Caguamas, wich are already established and loved in the LDP community. Caguamas are great for pumping/pushing. They maintain a high speed extremely well. With a diameter of 85 mm obstacles like curbs, rough pavements, etc. are no problem. Ideal for riding comfortably, fast regardless whether you are a beginner or a pro!
